Instructions

The feeding calculator lets you determine how much to feed your pet DAILY. If feeding more than once a day, divide the amount by the number of meals accordingly.

As a general guide, adult dogs should be fed about 2% of their ideal adult body weight. If the pet is overweight, reduce to 1.5% and if underweight, increase the amount to 2.5-3% and adjust as necessary till ideal weight is acheived.

Cats and smaller breed dogs will usually require a higher percentage while dogs above 10kg will require less.

Puppies, kittens, pregnant, lactating mothers and active pets will need more while seniors and couch potatoes will need less.

For small breed puppies and kittens, feed 2% - 4% of their expected ADULT weight. For large breed puppies, 2% of their ADULT weight after 6 months is recommended for slow and steady growth.

If your adult dog is of the ideal weight and trim, simply key in its present weight x 2% to get the daily amount required for maintenance.

We understand that every pet is different and this is just a recommended guide to start off.
